WHRA Players Bring Home Some Medals
8/21/2017

While there were no Wellington Prowlers Travel Teams this season, several of our current WRHA kids played on other travel teams around the state.

Douglas Holmes and Szander Brenner won Bronze skating on the Florida 2003A State Wars team.  Szander stayed and played with 2002A team who also captured Bronze.  Florida played against teams from California, NY, Texas, Missouri, Britian and Canada, just to name a few.  Pins and jerseys were traded and new friends were made from around the state.

Timothy Holmes played on the 2006A Florida team at State Wars, and while they didn't place in the medals Timothy was selected by opposing coaches to the all-star member of the 2006A Pride Team.

Tauben Brenner and Andrew Frauman played on the 2000AA Florida team and brought home the Gold.

A little closer to home, current and former WRHA members skated in the TOHRs Nationals held in Wesley Chapel.

Timothy Holmes won Silver in 10U AA skating with the Florida Flash and with a jersey change won Bronze in 12UA with the Gulf Coast Eagles.

Szander Brenner won Silver in 16U A skating with the Gulf Coast Eagles.

Tauben Brenner, Andrew Frauman, Michael Lesh, and Sean McAllister played with the Pucky Charms and took the 16AA GOLD at the TOHRs NationalsThey were joined by some former Prowler players Zach Perkins, Miles Davidson and Devon Selleck along with some newcomers to Roller Hockey Gage Dill and Torin Haden-Harris.

Our sometime ref, John Aguedelo, was selected with another former WRHA player Cody Bryant to play for Team USA Blue 23U at the Junior Olympics in California.   The team played great, losing only to Canada to secure Silver.
