Save the Dates - Important Early-Season WRHA Dates

We’re getting ready to kick off another season of Wellington Roller Hockey, and we wanted to share a few important early-season dates now so families can get them on their calendars.

Our full season schedule is still being developed, but we didn’t want anyone to miss these important events as we get the 2026–27 season underway.

🏒 Equipment Handout

Saturday, September 5 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Sunday, September 6 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

Players who need league equipment can pick up their gear during one of these equipment handout sessions.

⭐ Player Evaluations

Sunday, September 13 | Group 1 | 9:00 AM–10:00 AM
Sunday, September 13 | Group 2 | 10:30 AM–11:30 AM

You will be contacted prior to evaluations with your Group. Evaluations will help us prepare for the upcoming season and organize teams while giving players an opportunity to get back on the rink and show their skills.  

🛼 First Learn2Skate Class

Saturday, September 19 | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM

Our Learn2Skate program gets underway, welcoming new and developing skaters as they build their skating and hockey skills in a fun, supportive environment.

🏒 First Scrimmage

Sunday, September 20 | Group 1 | 9:00 AM–10:00 AM
Sunday, September 20 | Group 2 | 10:30 AM–11:30 AM

You will be contacted prior to scrimmages with your Group.  Players will get their first opportunity to hit the rink together for a scrimmage, work with teammates, and get back into game situations.  These scrimmages help us test teams and competitive balance.

👥 Team Practices

Monday, September 21 | 6:00 AM –7:00 PM | Group 1
Thursday, September 24 | 6:00 AM –7:00 PM | Group 2

Team practices will begin the following week as players start working together and preparing for the season ahead.

🏆 First Games

Sunday, September 27 | 9:00 AM & 10:00 AM

Game day is here! Our first regular-season games will give teams their first opportunity to put their practices to work, compete, and have some fun together.

Please save these dates! Additional practices, games, league activities, and other important dates will be added as the full schedule is finalized.
