The 2026–27 WRHA season is underway! As we finish evaluations and prepare for regular-season games, here are the key dates families should have on their calendars.

🏒 Remaining Scrimmages

Sunday, September 27
11U Division | 9:30 AM–10:30 AM
12+ Division | 10:30 AM–11:30 AM

Sunday, October 4 — BLACKOUT DATE

Sunday, October 11 — FINAL SCRIMMAGES
11U Division | 9:30 AM–10:30 AM
12+ Division | 10:30 AM–11:30 AM

Scrimmages give players additional rink time while helping us evaluate player placement and create teams that are as fair and competitively balanced as possible.

Missed evaluations or just joining WRHA? No problem! Come out and play. Registration is still open, and players can be evaluated during the remaining scrimmages.

🚫 Sunday, October 4 — Blackout Date

There will be no WRHA games or scrimmages on Sunday, October 4.

Our final round of preseason scrimmages will take place the following Sunday, October 11.

👥 Team Assignments

Teams will be finalized and assigned following the October 11 scrimmages.

Once assignments are complete, families will receive their team information as we prepare for the start of regular-season games.

🏆 Regular-Season Games Begin October 18

Sunday, October 18 — FIRST REGULAR-SEASON GAMES

Sunday games begin at 9:30 AM, with two 11U game slots and one 12+ game slot scheduled each week. Teams generally play one scheduled game each Sunday.

The regular-season game schedule is now available on WellingtonRollerHockey.com.

👥 Practices

Practices are held Monday and Thursday evenings from 7:00–8:00 PM.

Practice sessions are organized by age group for scheduling purposes, but players are welcome to attend either practice session. Please refer to the practice schedule for specific dates, organized scrimmages, holidays, and blackout dates.

🛼 Learn2Skate

Learn2Skate continues on scheduled Saturday mornings from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM, giving new and developing skaters an opportunity to build their skating and hockey skills in a fun, supportive environment.

🏒 There’s Still Time to Join WRHA!

Registration remains open! New and returning players are still welcome to join us for the 2026–27 season.

No prior hockey experience is necessary. If you know a friend, classmate, neighbor, or family who might enjoy roller hockey, please share WRHA with them and invite them to come out!

We’re looking forward to finalizing teams and kicking off regular-season games on October 18.
